Plans for a proposed new RSL Community Memorial will be unveiled after tomorrow's ANZAC Day dawn service.
The proposed memorial, located adjacent to the current site in Richardson Place, is a joint project between Roxby Downs Council and the Roxby Downs and Andamooka RSL groups.
Concept plans will be on public display at the ANZAC Day Gunfire Breakfast from 7am and will be displayed throughout the day at the Roxby Downs RSL/Bowls Club.
Its design represents two soldiers, one looking over the shoulder of another, and will stand in an area that symbolising a gun emplacement.
There are also plans to incorporate the existing memorial in with the new design.
Roxby Downs RSL Club President David Powell said the new memorial would be a turning point for both the club and the community.
"It will mean that all of the memorial services that we have will be held in the one place, instead of going to one site and then the other," he said.
"It also represents how the town is moving on."
The concept plans are open to wider community consultation and public comments and written submissions are welcome.
The plans will be on display at the RSL/Bowling Club on ANZAC Day and at the Council Office thereafter.
Submissions can be made until May 19, at which stage the project will be considered for potential future construction.
