Youths target elderly man

13/06/2008 10:27:00 AM
Roxby Downs Police was called to the Lions Park on Burgoyne Street when youths were caught targeting an elderly man on Thursday.

The police were called to the park at about 10.30pm where youths were throwing bottles and rocks - deliberately aiming for an elderly man who was walking through the park.

Police said they would not tolerate this behaviour.

“Behaviour like this is not acceptable and apart from the unruly and unsociable aspects, the potential for serious injury and even loss of life should cause concerns within the community,” police said in a media release.

Anyone that may have seen anyone behaving in this manner is encouraged to report the matter by contacting Roxby Downs Police on 8671 0370 or Bank SA Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
