 Touch footy a hit

Touch footy a hit

4/07/2008 1:39:00 PM
On Saturday a group of Roxby players ventured to Woomera for a social game of touch football.

The game was organised by a few enthusiastic Woomera players, keen to establish regular games between the two towns.

The cool night air was a stark contrast to the red-hot performance of the Sunday evening Roxby touch players.

Hemi Kerehi used his wealth of experience to orchestrate many slick set plays which set up try scoring opportunities for Aaron Reinhardt, Kristen Sims, Kyra Kerehi, Wi-Tap, Mark Fenoughty and Araluen Hoolihan.

Roxby's organiser for the event Richard Hoolihan evened up the numbers for the Woomera team, which enabled them to utilise his skills and knowledge of the game.

The evening ended with a barbecue and drinks at the Woomera Sports Club.

Thanks to Richard for organising the Roxby players and Woomera for hosting the event.

Touch games are played every Sunday night in Roxby at 6.30pm at the town oval.
